Heyyo peeps!

So I think I said a while back that I was in a play this summer. Well the company I work with has a tradition of writing, directing, and performing a series of skits in a matter of two days - one day to write, one day to direct and perform. This year, I was a writer, and a director for another person's play. So, yes, this here was written in one day.

The play got a fairly positive review from the company, and the performers did very well, particularly the actor who played Bruce. One good friend of mine actually came up to me in the middle of the rehearsal performance at the point where (SPOILERS!!) somebody is about to die, and whisper-yelled at me, "IS THIS A JOKE!?!?" Everyone else reacted very vividly to the play (except for one person who said that it was "obviously artsy," and another who said it was a slap in the face to regular English students, even though that was the point. Grr...) . So, yeah, that's coolioto.

However, since this was written in only one day, I had to cut some stuff out to get this done on time. Here are some of the changes made:
:bulletblack: It's revealed in a later scene that Mia gets killed after dropping out.
:bulletblack: Originally, the talk about Bruce moving to a different English class is only between him and Liza. During this scene, he sees a toy airplane that he gave her as a child on her desk. However, I felt it would have made more sense if a counselor were involved.
:bulletblack: Maury was supposed to have a larger role, having another conversation each with Liza and Bruce.
:bulletblack: Right after taking role, Liza starts the class. This scene was intended to demonstrate Bruce's intelligence.

So, yup.
